Creating a Safe Environment
Now that you have completed the first two lessons on cyberbullying, now we ask that you partake in our reflections blog called Creating a Safe Environment. This blog is open for all our parents and community to help come up with common solutions and tips to prevent cyberbullying. Parental involvement with the school and district shows that it has significant benefits to get to know their child more and reflect on the rest of the community and school district (Ozcinar & Ekizoglu, 2013). We ask that you preview through the blog and view the different cyberbullying videos seen on news channels and throughout school districts. After you look through the blog, please find the link at the top of the blog titled "After thoughts." In this section we ask that you reflect on the activities that you have completed, think about the different information that you have read about cyberbullying, and present to the rest of our community your after thoughts on cyberbullying. We ask that the blog stay school appropriate and remember we are trying to show our children the importance of preventing cyberbullying and ways that we can help our children understand why the harmful act is not acceptable. Share your reflections, ask questions, and respond to posts. This is your site as a community to share and to grow.
